In today’s upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan is shocked to see guests from his office at home. All the guests start congratulating him on his engagement, leaving Armaan completely surprised.
Abhira Visits Mayra’s House with an Injury
Abhira reaches near Mayra’s house with an injury on her hand. Kaveri calls her and says that before Vidya’s hospital treatment, many forms need to be filled, so she should quickly deliver the saree and come. Abhira rings the bell and keeps the saree at the gate.
Just then, she gets a message from Kaveri. When Abhira turns to call her, Armaan opens the gate. A paper from the saree flies and sticks to his face. Armaan looks at the saree and then notices Abhira walking away.
He follows her, but she doesn’t turn around even once. She leaves in an auto. Armaan trips over a pumpkin and falls. Abhira sees him fall in the mirror but doesn’t see his face. Armaan also fails to see her face.
Armaan Faces More Guests and Mayra’s Surprise Engagement Plan
Back at home, more guests congratulate Armaan on the engagement. Mayra then reveals to Armaan and Geetu that this is not Dadu’s party but their engagement ceremony.
She brings the ring to Armaan, but he angrily slaps it away. Armaan scolds Mayra and tells the guests to leave.
They ask why they were invited if he wanted to insult them. Armaan replies that a 7-year-old girl invited them, not him. The guests leave.
Armaan Questions Mayra’s Intentions
Armaan looks at Mayra, who hides behind Geetu. He calls her and asks why she made such a plan. Mayra says that during her birthdays, everyone has their parents holding both their hands.
But she doesn’t have a mother. Armaan packs her tiffin and gets her ready for school.
Though he has a sweet smile, Armaan is mostly alone and has no friends his age. Mayra says she did all this so Armaan wouldn’t feel lonely. She says now she won’t talk to him and does a “big katti.”
Dadu’s Reaction and Mayra’s Disappointment
Dadu says that it’s not Mayra’s responsibility to worry about Armaan. Still, she cares so much. He suggests Armaan should free her from this burden and get engaged. Mayra becomes upset and walks away.
Emotional Moment with the Letter
Armaan goes to Mayra’s room. She is about to read a letter written on the back of a saree bill, but it falls near Armaan.
He reads it and finds sweet things written about Mayra’s love and care for her parents. It says her parents are lucky to have such a loving daughter.
Armaan and Mayra Make Peace
Armaan speaks to Mayra, but she’s still angry. He says he will try to become the world’s best papa. Hearing this, Mayra starts talking to him again.
Armaan asks if she will become Ananya’s best friend. Mayra refuses and says Pihu is her best friend because both like yellow.
She says Armaan can’t force friendships. Armaan agrees and says, just like that, Mayra also can’t force him to get engaged to Geetu.
He tells her how sad Geetu was and that her heart must have broken. Armaan says he has made his decision, and now Mayra should focus on her studies and her friends.
